David is a PhD candidate at the Centre for Health Informatics. His research on automation bias examines the risks of over-reliance on decision support systems in healthcare. Automation bias increases the risk of errors in situations where decision support can fail or provide incorrect recommendations. David’s research is examining the role of task complexity, cognitive load, and verification on automation bias.
